SENG Students Send Their Remote Controlled Airships on a “Firefighting” Mission

The Engineering Team Airship Design course (ENGG 2990D) is a school-sponsored course that is supported by The Center for Engineering Education Innovation (E2I). The course allows students to explore various areas of engineering in order to design and build a remote controlled airship, culminating in a final competition before the end of the semester. Mostly first-year students were enrolled in the course and they learned about mechanics while building the structural components of their airship; learned about programming while devising a remote control device; learned about electronics while designing and building working propulsion systems.
