Career development is one of the key components of the SENG RPg professional development program. E2I holds the annual sharing and networking event to help engineering RPgs explore different career paths by inviting alumni to share their career development experience and introduce different workplaces and cultures. This year four alumni were invited: Mr Samuel Ko, Laboratory-in-charge of the Radio Frequency Laboratory, Innovation and Technology Commission, Government of HKSAR, Dr Langston Suen, Founder and CEO of Sonikure Technology, Dr Edwin Tso, Postdoctoral Fellow at HKUST, and Mr Anik Dey, Co-founder and Chief User Experience Officer of Ivo Technologies Company Limited. From why choosing the current career paths to how to sustain at the current positions or business to where next, the four guests drew a clear picture for the audience, from which the students were able to retrieve the information that will help them make decisions on career development directions. Dr Catherine Zhou also shared the statistics of the SENG RPg alumni career development, including the distribution by employment sectors, professions, and work locations.
